A huge attendance for the Funeral of
of Haji Raja Nazar Hussain who was the cousin of Uk Businessman Raja Mohammad Adil and Uncle of Central Mosque of Brent Chairman Dr Raja Amjid Riaz was held at the Central Mosque of Brent on Thursday 30th January 2025.
Haji Raja Nazar Hussain was a Trustee of the Mosque and had contributed to community work for over 50 years. He was one a pioneer in the field of Fast Food being one of the first Pakistani Franchisee of Wimpy Restaurants in 1969. A highly successful businessman who served his community and the Central Mosque of Brent.
The huge funeral gathering was led by Imaams and scholars from around the UK including Qazi Abdul Aziz OBE from Luton, Qari Mohammad Shoaib from Birmingham, Qari Hafiz Mohammed Nawaz from Slough, and Maulana Arshad Jameel as well as ex Mayors Liaquat and Shaukat Ali, Cllr Parvez Ahmad, Aslam Chaudhry and Tariq Dar and Azhar Kiani alongside over 1500 members of the local community.
Dr Raja Amjid Riaz said that this was a very sad day for my family and the entire community. Uncle Nazar was a unique personality who was always smiling and loved by everyone. I shall miss him hugely and May Allah SWT grant him the highest rank in Jannat.
His children Raja Nazak Hussain and Raja Ashique Husain and Raja Bilal Hussain have said they will continue their father’s commitment for the Mosque and community.
